Forgoing the devotional today to ask for some prayers. This is the beautiful Sadie Grey. Her mother and I once taught at the same school, but at different times. She’s a beauty, isn’t she? I pulled this photo from the Team Sadie Grey Facebook page so you could see her.
Sadie has bilary atresia. Without getting too detailed, her liver doesn’t work. She has been on a very long journey for such a very tiny little girl. A couple of days ago, the family found out that her daddy is a match for a living liver donation to Sadie.
How beautiful is that? Today, Sadie’s daddy is donating part of his liver to his precious daughter. The surgery could take 18-24 hours, and it can involve a long recovery time for her daddy. But this military man is putting himself in harm’s way for his daughter.
Know what? All I can think about is Jesus.
Would you join me in praying for Sadie and her daddy, for her mommy and the rest of her family as they go on this whole new journey today? For healing and strength, for peace and protection, and for the devil to keep his hands off so that Sadie and her daddy can be restored together?
Thank you! And may God bless you right back!
