Today felt like a good day to update everyone on some things we’ve discussed on the blog in the past.
Baby Annabelle is hanging on. She is on day 41 on the heart transplant list. (You can follow her progress by clicking the link at the right.) Please continue to pray for her and for her family. Krista’s blog post yesterday was particularly poignant and a look into her mother heart. (Know what makes me smile? When I visit on of your blogs and see the “Praying for Princess Annabelle” link. God is so wonderful…)
Sandi Rog is undergoing more chemo. And, like Krista’s, her last blog post is an amazing look at what she’s gone through. God has certainly moved mightily there!
My amazing friend Jen Stephens is watching her very best friend Patty battle cancer. To hear Jen talk about Patty and her faith brings my Aunt Shirley to mind every time. Please pray for Patty and for their family. It seems the blows keep coming, but Patty keeps her eyes on God. Incredible.
We’ve had some upheaval at our house (more on that soon). It’s not bad. It’s good. It’s very, very good. It just brings with it a whole new level of uncertainty and trust in God. (And no, I am not pregnant. That’s the first thing everyone wants to know.)
As for the books…
–The suspense came back from the editor Sandra subbed it to with a request for changes. I made the changes and sent the book back to Sandra. And now… we wait.
–Going in Circles has garnered some interest from a publisher or two. I prefer not to know what is going on unless something big happens, so other than that, I don’t have much news. That’s something I let Sandra handle.
–Right now, I’m busy revising/editing the second book in that series, Rearview Mirror. Normally, since it’s not the one on the sale block , I’d leave it be, but the fact that it is “unpolished” keeps my mind from moving on. It needs to be done and set aside so I can get to work on the next book, which already has a rough draft.
–Not going to spill any secrets about that one yet, because I am unsure exactly what I will keep and toss of that draft. I’m excited about it though, and can’t wait to get moving on it.
–I also have an idea for another suspense, but I’m stewing on it to see if it has legs. So far, it seems to. If you know me at all, you know it’s interesting that I have a second suspense idea.
That’s all from this end. Thank you for those of you who are praying. And now, I am going to set my red pen to my manuscript and keep on movin’!

An update to the update… I got an email from Jen after I set this to post, and I did not get to change it before it went up. Patty passed away yesterday. Please keep her family and friends in your prayers…
